Moravian Mints - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. confectioners sugar
    1 c. boiling water
    12 drops peppermint or wintergreen
Preparation
    Boil sugar and water together until a small amount of it dropped in cold water forms a small ball (234\u00b0 on candy thermometer).
    Add flavoring.
    Remove from heat and beat until mixture thickens.
    Drop from spoon, forming thin patties onto waxed paper.
    Keep candy over hot water while forming patties. Cool.
    Makes 4 dozen small mints.
