Dough For Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. butter
    pinch of salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. sweet milk
Preparation
    Make into a roll; stretch up to your wrist.
    Dip a tablespoon in hot water and cut off the dumplings, about 12.
    Put on a tight-fitting top and let boil 20 minutes before removing the top. If for chicken soup, leave out the sugar.
    It may be used for fruit (berries, peaches, etc.).
    Requires at least 1 quart of boiling liquid with fruit.
    Do not raise lid until done.
