Fat-Free Shortcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    nonstick vegetable cooking spray
    1 c. flour
    1/3 c. sugar
    1/3 c. cornstarch
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 egg whites
    2/3 c. skim milk
    1/3 c. light corn syrup
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix the flour, sugar, cornstarch, baking powder and salt and set aside.
    Mix the egg whites, milk, corn syrup and vanilla and add to dry ingredients.
    Stir all until smooth.
    Pour into a sprayed 9 x 9-inch pan and bake 20 to 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cool and remove from pan.
    Cut into squares or cut out with a biscuit cutter.
    Split halves and add prepared strawberries or other fruit with juice.
    (Prepare fruit with artificial sweetener ahead to make natural juice or minimal sugar.)
    Makes 9 (3 x 3-inch) servings. Each serving plus fruit equals 200 calories, 3 grams protein, 48 grams carbohydrates, 0.9 fat, 0 cholesterol and 170 milligrams sodium.
