Lemon Layer Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. plain flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/8 tsp. salt
1 1/3 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. Crisco
1 tsp. vanilla
4 egg whites
Preparation

Mix first 5 ingredients.
Add buttermilk, Crisco and vanilla. Beat on low 1 minute, then on high 2 minutes more.
Pour into 2 greased and floured layer pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
