Chicken South Texas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large broiler chickens, cut up
    1 pkg. (12) tortillas
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 medium bell pepper, chopped
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/2 shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1 (1 lb.) stewed tomatoes
    few drops of Tabasco
Preparation
    Boil chicken in lightly salted water until tender.
    Remove bone and cut into 1-inch pieces.
    Dip tortillas in the hot broth and place in bottom of 3-quart casserole dish.
    Layer all the ingredients, beginning with all the chicken.
