Mashed Turnips - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. turnips, peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces
1 onion, minced
4 Tbsp. butter, divided
1 1/2 c. grated white Cheddar cheese
1/2 c. milk
Preparation
-
In a saucepan of boiling water, cook turnips for 2 minutes; drain. Cover with water and cook for 20 minutes or until tender; drain. Mash them in another container.
