Tamale Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. water
1 c. cold water
1 c. corn meal
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 Tbsp. butter
1 lb. ground beef
2 c. canned tomatoes
2 pimentos, chopped
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
Preparation

In a saucepan, bring 3 cups water to a boil.
Meanwhile, combine cold water, corn meal and 1 teaspoon salt.
Pour into boiling water, stirring constantly.
Cook until thickened, then cover and continue cooking 10 to 12 minutes.
Stir occasionally. Start heating oven to 350\u00b0.
Butter a 10-inch juice-saver pie plate.
In large skillet, saute onion in butter until tender and golden.
Add ground meat.
Brown beef, stirring constantly with fork.
