Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. red vinegar
    1/4 tsp. mustard seed
    1/4 tsp. turmeric
    1/4 tsp. celery seed
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. cabbage
    1 medium onion
Preparation
    Combine first 6 ingredients in saucepan.
    Bring to a boil approximately 1 minute.
    Cool and strain.
    Shred cabbage and onion.
    Pour sauce over cabbage and onion.
    Chill.
    This will keep in refrigerator for 3 to 4 days.
