Oreo Cookie Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 large pkg. Oreo cookies
1/2 c. melted margarine
1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream
1/2 c. margarine
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 can Hershey's chocolate syrup

Preparation

Crumble cookies into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Dribble melted margarine over cookies.
Cut ice cream into slices and arrange over cookie crust, pressing down to make a smooth layer.
Freeze. In double boiler or microwave, heat the margarine with the condensed milk and chocolate syrup until mixture is bubbly.
Cool thoroughly, then pour over ice cream and return pan to freezer until ready to serve.
