Hungarian Chicken Paprikash - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 whole chickens, cut up
1 1/2 qt. milk
1 large onion
salt and pepper
flour and paprika
2 Tbsp. Crisco
1 qt. light cream
1 Tbsp. flour
Preparation

Melt Crisco in large frypan.
Season chicken with salt, pepper, paprika and flour.
Brown chicken.
Transfer chicken to large pot.
Saute onion.
Put with chicken.
Rinse frypan and put enough water in pot to cover chicken.
Cook over medium heat for about 1 1/2 hours.
Mix milk, light cream and flour thoroughly. Cook over medium heat until boils.
Pour immediately over chicken. (If too thin, add more flour.)
Salt to taste; sprinkle with paprika.
Cook until sauce thickens.
Serve over waffles.
