Mama'S Yeast Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. lukewarm water
    1 pkg. yeast
    1 c. hot milk
    6 Tbsp. solid shortening
    1 egg, beaten
    6 Tbsp. sugar
    2 c. whole wheat flour
    2 c. white flour
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Sprinkle yeast over warm water and set aside.
    Combine milk and shortening, stirring until shortening is melted and mixture is lukewarm.
    Combine yeast mixture with milk and shortening.
    Add remaining ingredients and stir until all ingredients are combined. Knead until smooth.
    Let rise in warm (not hot) place, covered until double its size.
    Punch down, knead again and roll out onto floured surface.
    Cut into desired shape (round cut doubled over, balls, etc).
    Place on greased cookie sheet and let rise again. Bake at 400 degrees for 13 minutes.
    Delicious eaten while warm.
