Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. flour
    1/2 lb. butter
    1 tsp. baking powder
    5 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Cream butter thoroughly.
    Add sugar; cream.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating for 2 minutes per egg.
    Add water.
    Add flour, baking powder and vanilla.
    Bake in a well-greased tube pan on top shelf at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
