Pretzel Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter, softened
    1 1/2 c. coarsely crushed pretzels
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry Jell-O
    2 c. boiling water
    1 c. sugar, divided
    1 (8 oz.) tub Cool Whip
    2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries
Preparation
    Cream together butter and 1/2 cup sugar.
    Mix in pretzels and press into 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 6 minutes. Let cool.
    Cream together cream cheese and 1/2 cup sugar; add Cool Whip and spread over cooled pretzel crust.
    Refrigerate 40 minutes.
    Combine strawberry gelatin and boiling water; stir until dissolved.
    Stir in strawberries and pour over cream cheese layer. Chill until set.
    Makes 10 servings.
