Stars (Spitzbuben) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 lb. margarine
1/2 lb. almonds, ground
135 gr. sugar
330 gr. flour
1 pack (1 tsp.) vanilla
jam
granulated sugar

Preparation

Mix margarine, almonds, sugar, flour and vanilla together. Roll out thin, using star cookie cutter to cut them out.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until light brown only.
Cool, then place a little jam on one side of star and put second star on top, like a sandwich.
Then roll the sandwich star cookie in granulated sugar.
Store in airtight container.
