Christmas Special Fruitcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. coarsely chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, hazelnuts)
    1 lb. pitted dates, coarsely chopped
    1 c. halved maraschino cherries
    3/4 c. flour
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine nuts, dates and cherries.
    Stir together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
    Add to nut mixture; stir until well coated.
    Beat eggs until foamy; add vanilla.
    Add to nut mixture. Mix well.
    Pour into greased and wax paper-lined 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
    Cool 10 minutes in pan before removing.
