Homemade Play Dough - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. salt
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 c. water
    food coloring (desired amount)
Preparation
    Combine and cook over very low heat, stirring constantly until dough is stiff and hard to stir.
    Remove from heat and add scent (peppermint, extracts) if desired.
    Knead immediately.
    Store in airtight container. Keeps 4 to 6 weeks.
