Brown Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (15 oz.) box raisins
    2 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. shortening
    4 c. flour
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. nuts
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over raisins and shortening.
    Cool and set aside.
    Mix ingredients together.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Makes 4 small loaves or 5 (No. 2) cans.
    Grease pans well.
