Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 oz. red food coloring
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt (I use a little less)
2 1/2 c. flour (plain or cake)
1 Tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vinegar
1 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Cream sugar and Crisco; add eggs, milk, cocoa, salt, vanilla, flour and food coloring.
Mix soda and vinegar and sprinkle over batter.
Mix well.
Bake in layer pans at 300\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
