Potato Pancakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large potatoes, peeled
    1 small onion
    1/2 c. milk
    1/4 c. flour
    1 egg, beaten
    1 tsp. salt
    shortening
Preparation
    Grate potatoes and onion with milk.
    Blend in flour, egg and salt.
    Heat 1-inch of shortening in large skillet until hot.
    Drop tablespoonful of batter into hot fat and brown on both sides. Drain on paper towel.
    Serve with warm applesauce.
