Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. whole wheat flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. other spices (cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, allspice, any combination you like)
1/2 c. yogurt or buttermilk
2 eggs
about 1/2 c. applesauce or some nuts or raisins (optional)
Preparation

Beat the molasses mixture a minute or so, then pour it into the flour mixture.
Stir it just until you can't see any more flour.
Butter (grease) an 8 or 9-inch square baking pan.
Pour the batter into it and bake about 30 minutes.
