Batter For Fried Vegetables - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. cornstarch
    1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. water
    1 egg, slightly beaten
Preparation
    In bowl, stir together first 5 ingredients.
    Add water and egg; stir until smooth. Dip cut up vegetables, such as zucchini, carrots, onion, mushrooms or boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes.
    Dip into mixture before placing vegetables or meat into hot oil.
    Makes a wonderful light and crispy fried vegetable.
