Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (32 oz.) pkg. frozen hash brown potatoes (Schwans)
    1/2 c. melted butter
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. grated mild Cheddar cheese
    1 (8 oz.) box sour cream
    1 tsp. salt (optional)
    1/2 small onion, diced
    2 c. crushed corn flakes
    1/4 c. melted butter
Preparation
    Mix first 7 ingredients well, pour into long Pyrex dish.
    Put corn flakes on top and then the 1/4 cup melted butter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
