Onion Shortcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large sweet onion, chopped
    1/4 c. oleo
    1 1/2 c. Jiffy corn muffin mix
    1 egg
    1/3 c. milk
    1 c. creamed corn
    1 c. sour cream
    1 c. sharp cheese, shredded
Preparation
    Saute onion in oleo until tender.
    Add sour cream and 1/2 cup cheese to onion after removing from stove.
    Blend muffin mix, egg, milk and corn; don't beat, just mix.
    Put batter in 9 x 9-inch buttered pan, spread onion mixture over batter and top with 1/2 cup shredded cheese.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until lightly browned, about 25 minutes.
