Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 c. milk
2 1/2 Tbsp. butter
3 eggs
4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
Preparation

Cream 1/2 cup sugar with butter.
Beat eggs and remaining sugar; combine.
Sift baking powder, salt and nutmeg with flour; add enough more flour to make dough stiff enough to roll.
Knead lightly.
Roll 1/4-inch thick.
Cut and fry in deep oil.
Roll in sugar.
