Ingredients

1/4 c. butter or shortening
1/2 c. sugar
dash of salt
1 egg
1 c. cream
2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
2 c. cherries
Preparation

Drain cherries.
Sprinkle with flour until coated.
Sift together dry ingredients.
Melt butter; mix liquid ingredients and whip.
Combine both mixtures and beat until smooth and airy.
Fold in cherries.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
