Mama'S Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. Karo (white) syrup
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. fat
    pinch of salt
    1 c. pecans
    2 eggs, beaten
Preparation
    Slowly cook syrup, salt and sugar until it boils.
    Gradually pour hot syrup over beaten eggs.
    Cool.
    Add pecans and vanilla flavoring.
    Pour in 8-inch pie shell.
    Cook 10 minutes at 400\u00b0. Reduce oven to 350\u00b0 and cook 40 to 45 minutes.
