Caramels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. Karo syrup
1 c. milk or half cream
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. walnuts (optional)
Preparation

Butter or Pam spray a jelly roll pan. Coarsely chop nuts onto pan.
Cook sugar, Karo and milk in heavy pan to 240\u00b0 on candy thermometer. Stir constantly. Add butter. Cook to 245\u00b0.
Add vanilla and pour onto prepared pan. Scrape pan into small dish to prevent candy from becoming sugary. Cool without moving pan. Score and cut. Wrap pieces.
