Mocha Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. shortening
2 c. flour
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. instant coffee
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/4 tsp. soda
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
2 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
Preparation

Stir shortening to soften.
Add dry ingredients.
Add water and vanilla. Mix until flour is dampened.
Beat vigorously for 2 minutes.
Add eggs and chocolate.
Beat 1 minute longer.
Pour into paper lined 9 1/2 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Bake in slow 325\u00b0 oven for 60 to 70 minutes or until done.
Cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove.
When completely cool, sift confectioners sugar on top.
