Ice Box Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. butter
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    1/2 c. lukewarm water
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 beaten eggs
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. cold water
    8 c. flour
Preparation
    Place shortening and butter in a large bowl.
    Pour boiling water over.
    Let cool. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.
    Add eggs, sugar, salt, and cold water to first mixture.
    Add yeast. Stir in 4 c. flour til smooth.
    Then add 4 more c. flour and mix well.
    Place in a greased bowl, let stand in refrigerator covered at least 4 hours or overnight.
    Punch down.
    Place on floured surface and knead lightly.
    Shape into rolls, place in greased pan, let rise till double in bulk.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes. Yield - 4 dozen.
