Pork Steak Baked With Fruit And Carrots - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 pork shoulder steaks
    salt and pepper
    flour
    6 slices pineapple
    6 dried prunes
    6 carrots, sliced
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Sprinkle steaks with salt and pepper; dust with flour.
    Brown on both sides in a skillet in which you have rendered out a little of the fat on the steaks.
    Place in a utility pan or shallow baking dish.
    Place a slice of pineapple on top of each steak, and put a prune in the center of each pineapple slice.
    Arrange the sliced carrots around the steaks.
    Pour in the water and cover.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 (slow oven) for 1 1/2 hours or until steaks are tender and well done.
