Calas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. cooked rice (soft)
    3 eggs, beaten
    1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg to taste
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. warm milk with 1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Place soft rice in a bowl.
    Add eggs, flour, salt and nutmeg. Beat until smooth.
    Drop by tablespoon in deep, hot fat and fry golden brown.
    Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
    Makes 8 servings.
