Ingredients

1/2 c. coarse white cornmeal
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. boiling water
1/3 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. butter
3 eggs, beaten
1 1/3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. almonds, chopped
1/4 c. raisins
Preparation

Heat oven to 325\u00b0.
Stir cornmeal slowly into salted boiling water.
Return to a boil; reduce heat and cook slowly 2 1/2 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add sugar, butter, eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon.
Mix well and pour into greased 8-inch square baking dish.
Sprinkle with raisins and almonds.
Bake for 50 minutes at 325\u00b0.
Serve warm or cold, cut into small squares.
