Cabbage Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 lb. sausage
    2 eggs
    5 Tbsp. raw rice
    salt and pepper to taste
    garlic to taste
    1 large cabbage
    1 (29 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 c. white sugar
    1/3 c. brown sugar
    4 Tbsp. lemon juice
    ground ginger to taste
    2 large chopped onions
Preparation
    Parboil cabbage until leaves are softened.
    Cool.
    Mix meat, eggs, rice, salt, pepper and garlic salt.
    Make sauce by putting white and brown sugar in pan with chopped onions.
    Cook until sugar melts.
    Add tomato sauce, lemon juice and ginger.
    Simmer 5 to 10 minutes.
    Place small amount of meat in each cabbage leaf. Fold up like an envelope.
    Add cabbage rolls to sauce and bake, covered, at 350\u00b0 for 2 hours.
    Turn off heat and leave in oven to cook slowly for one hour more.
    Serve hot.
