German Skillet Supper - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 Tbsp. margarine
4 c. green cabbage, shredded
1 medium onion, sliced
2 c. potatoes, sliced
1 Tbsp. caraway seed (optional)
1 lb. ground beef
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Melt butter in large skillet; spread cabbage over butter. Arrange potatoes in a layer over onions.
Sprinkle potatoes with caraway seed.
Break beef over potatoes.
Season with salt and pepper.
Pour tomato sauce over all.
Cover and cook over low heat for 30 to 35 minutes, until potatoes are tender and meat is cooked through.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.
