Ingredients

2 c. milk
scant 1/2 c. sugar
2 rounded Tbsp. cornstarch
1 rounded Tbsp. cocoa
1 lump butter
vanilla
Preparation

Mix sugar, cornstarch and cocoa with a small amount of milk. Scald remaining milk.
Stir in sugar mixture and stir over medium heat until it starts to boil.
Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla.
Serve warm with cream.
