Coffee Liqueur - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1/4 c. dark roast instant coffee crystals
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 qt. vodka
Preparation
    In medium saucepan, combine sugar and coffee with 2 cups water.
    Bring to boiling.
    Cool; stir in vanilla.
    Pour into 2-quart container; stir in vodka.
    With spoon, skim off foam. Cover liqueur tightly; let stand 48 hours.
    Pour into decorative decanters or bottles.
    Makes 7 1/2 cups.
