Diabetic Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1-1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. onion, chopped
    1 c. celery, finely chopped
    1 c. green bell pepper, finely chopped
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes with liquid
    1-1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans
    1/2 c. beef broth
Preparation
    In a 2-1/2 quart pan brown ground beef with salt.
    Add onion, celery and pepper.
    Cook about 2 to 3 minutes over medium heat. Add tomatoes with liquid and seasonings.
    Bring to boil.
    Simmer for 20 to 30 minutes.
    Add beans and broth.
    Simmer 20 minutes. Yield:
    6 servings / 4-1/2 cups.
