Pot Roast(Serves 4 To 6) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    3 lb. boneless chuck roast
    3 onions, peeled and quartered
    2 c. dry red wine
    2 c. tomato sauce, heated
    2 cloves garlic, smashed and chopped
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1/2 tsp. basil
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Heat oil in ovenproof casserole.
    Sear beef 6 to 8 minutes over medium-high heat on all sides.
    Season well.
