Black-Eyed Pea Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 c. canned black-eyed peas, drained
    1 c. chopped onion
    3/4 c. cream-style corn
    1 c. corn meal
    1/2 c. flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/4 c. cooking oil
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2 jalapeno peppers, chopped
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Brown meat; drain and break into small pieces.
    Mix all ingredients, adding cheese last.
    Cook in well-greased 13 x 9-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until done.
    This makes a large batch.
    Serve with a salad and ice tea.
