Half Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. plain four
    3/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. mace
    5 eggs
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Cream butter thoroughly.
    Add flour, baking powder and mace mixed together.
    Beat well.
    Beat eggs separately.
    When yolks are thick and lemon colored, add sugar.
    Combine mixtures.
    Beat whites until stiff, then fold into other mixtures.
    Pour into standard loaf pan and bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
