Swedish Butter Strips - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. butter
2/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation

Cream together butter, sugar, egg, vanilla and salt.
Blend in remaining ingredients.
Divide dough into 4 equal parts.
Shape into 12-inch logs.
Place on ungreased cookie sheets.
Flatten with fork to 1/4-inch.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes or brown on edges.
Cool a few minutes, then cut with sharp knife in diagonal slices.
