Apple Crumb Pie - cooking recipe

6 large tart apples (to fill a pie)
1 pie shell
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. flour
1/3 c. butter or margarine
Preparation

Peel and pare apples; cut in eighths and arrange in a 9-inch pie shell.
Mix 1/2 cup sugar with cinnamon; sprinkle over apples. Shake pan so mixture settles.
Sift 1/2 cup sugar (may be less if apples are sweet) with flour; pour over apples.
Shake.
Cut up butter and dot over pie.
Bake in hot oven, 400\u00b0, for 40 to 50 minutes.
Serves 6 to 8.
