Sweet Dough Pie And Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening or oleo
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg, well beaten
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
3/8 c. liquid (1/4 c. milk and 1/8 c. water)

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar until smooth.
Add egg and vanilla; mix well.
Add dry ingredients (flour, baking powder and salt) alternately with liquid until well mixed.
