Rhubarb Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. shortening (combine part butter or margarine)
    1 egg
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 c. diced rhubarb (can get chopped frozen)
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening; add egg and beat well.
    Mix flour, salt and soda together and add alternately to creamed mixture with milk.
    Stir in rhubarb.
    Pour into 9 x 13-inch greased and floured cake pan.
