2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. oleo or butter, softened
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 to 1 1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation

Preheat
oven
to 350\u00b0.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt. In\tlarge mixing bowl beat oleo, Crisco and both sugars until fluffy.
Beat
in
eggs
and vanilla.
Add flour mixture and mix well.
Stir
in
chips
and
nuts.\tDrop
by
rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet pans. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly brown.
