Corn Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 full-size ears of corn
    6 lb. cabbage
    3 large green peppers
    1 c. chopped celery or 1 tsp. celery seed
    3 red peppers
    4 onions
    1 qt. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. dry mustard
    5 Tbsp. salt
    2 c. brown sugar
    cucumbers
    1 head fresh dill (or dill seed)
    2 or 3 cloves fresh garlic
    1 small red or green hot pepper
    1 small nut-size alum
    2 qt. water
    1 qt. vinegar
    1 c. noniodized salt
