Peanut Blossoms - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 egg
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
48 candy kisses

Preparation

Combine all ingredients.
Mix at low speed until dough forms. Shape into balls using a rounded teaspoonfuls.
Roll balls in sugar on a plate.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 10 to 12 minutes on an ungreased cookie sheet.
When cookies are light brown, remove from oven and immediately press a candy kiss in the center of each cookie.
Press down firmly so cookie cracks around edge.
Cool.
