Pea Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    10 oz. pkg. frozen peas
    1 c. water chestnuts, sliced
    1/2 c. chopped green onion
    1 c. chopped celery
    2 c. mayonnaise
    1/2 c. bacon bits
Preparation
    Layer lettuce, frozen peas, water chestnuts, onion and celery in a large bowl.
    Cover completely with mayonnaise, sealing to the edges.
    Sprinkle with bacon bits.
    Refrigerate overnight.
