Casserole Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 orange and juice
1/2 c. sugar
orange rind
3/4 c. nuts
1 c. dates
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
3/4 c. sour milk
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
Preparation

Squeeze 1 orange and combine juice and 1/2 cup sugar; set aside.
Put rind, nuts and dates through food chopper.
Blend Crisco, 1 cup sugar and eggs together.
Stir in fruit-nut mixture. Add sour milk and flour sifted with salt and soda.
Turn into greased casserole and bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
Remove and pour orange juice over cake at once.
