Scalloped Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 potatoes, peeled and sliced thin
    1/2 small onion
    all-purpose flour
    about 1/2 c. butter pats
    salt and pepper to taste
    milk to cover
Preparation
    Place potatoes in greased baking dish to cover bottom (1 layer), then cover generously with flour.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    Add onion, if desired.
    Add several \"butter pats\" and then place another layer of same ingredients.
    Continue until all potatoes are used.
    Add milk to cover the layers and bake at 275\u00b0 to 300\u00b0 until tender and creamy, about 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
